2019 Region IX
Clinical Excellence Conference
Transforming the Healthcare System as a Clinical Leader
What is the Clinical Excellence Conference? The California Primary Care Association (CPCA) and Western Clinicians Network (WCN) have partnered to host the Region IX Clinical Excellence Conference. This three-day conference brings together healthcare leadership from across the region to focus on health center clinical and management teams--partnerships that spur innovation--with the goal of improving overall efficiency and effectiveness in care delivery.
Why CEOs and CMOs should attend together:Leadership is at its best when it works together, and CEOs and CMOs are the essential leadership team when it comes to patient quality, safety, and costs. The role of the CMO increasingly revolves around influencing physicians and administrators to create working relationships that benefit both. That requires a good grounding in both clinical and administration skills. To be able to work together and collaborate CMOs need to understand business aspects, just as CEOs need understanding of clinical processes and quality. |
WHO SHOULD ATTEND Clinicians, Chief Medical Officers, Medical Directors, Dental Directors, Executive Directors, State and Regional Primary Care partners, Board Members and other management positions involved with community or migrant health centers. Region IX members (Arizona, California, Nevada, Hawai'i, and the Pacific Islands) will be in attendance, but this clinical conference welcomes attendees from across the country! The key to excellent leadership is excellent learning!
